Notice Of Tender

We are Pleased to invite you to submit your tender for the roles listed below at the 2025 Creston Valley Fall Fair September 5th and 6th 2025

​

Groundskeeper

Expectations:

 

The groundskeeper will be responsible for the

following tasks:

  •  Be onsite from:

1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on

September 5th and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on September 6th, 

with flexibility as needed to address garbage and clean-up after attendees leave

 

  • · Empty all garbage and recycling cans as required throughout the event.

  •  Regularly check and clean outhouses, ensuring they are well-stocked with toilet

  • paper and paper towels.

  • . Pick up any garbage found on the grounds.

  • · Transport full garbage and recycling bags to the designated disposal area.

  • · Operate a golf cart or side-by-side vehicle safely and responsibly to assist with tasks around the grounds.

What We Will Provide:

  • To support your work, we will provide the following:

  • · A wagon for transporting cleaning supplies.

  • · Toilet paper, paper towels, and other

  • cleaning supplies.

  • · Gloves and garbage bags.

  • · A side-by-side vehicle or golf cart for use during the event.

Please submit your tender, including your

proposed compensation, by May 31, 2025

Gate Operations

Expectations:

. Operate a Square POS (Point of Sale) system

efficiently.

. Ensure at least three individuals are stationed at the gate at all times.

. Be able to visit the office as needed to obtain change for cash transactions.

· Ensure fast, efficient, and professional service for attendees.

. Manage cash transactions and provide accurate change.

Required Times:

· Friday: Table must be set up and fully

operational by 12:00 PM and remain active

until 10:00 PM.

. Saturday: 

Table must be set up and

operational no later than 8:00 AM, and remain active until 5:00 PM.

Grain Bag Races

Volunteer Opportunities

Set Up

What's involved....

Light work to heavy lifting; something for every physical ability. Get out and have some fun.

From setting up tents, tables and installing panels to laying out tablecloths, and more...

KId's Zone Downtime 

What's involved....

A quiet-time area with books, colouring, and building blocks.Parents are expected to stay with their kids, but looking for volunteers to help tidy, keep things in order, if needed, and reminding parents to stay.

Kids Tractor Pull

What's involved....

Kids ride a pedal-powered tractor pulling a weighted trailer. If they cross the line they move up to the next heat; weight being pulled increases with each heat. Farthest distance wins.

Help needed in getting kids set up, tracking results.

First Aid 

What's involved....

Basic first aid as needed.

You can enjoy the fair during your shift as you'll be on call via two-way radio **3-hour shifts each**

Kids Hobby Horse Races

What's involved....

Kids ‘ride’ a hobby horse through obstacle courses.

Help needed getting kids set up, tracking results.

Tear Down

What's involved....

Light work to heavy lifting, something for every physical ability.

Taking down everything from tents and tables to removing and folding table skirts
