Rules and Regulations

General

  • Please read all rules carefully.

  • Exhibits must be grown or made by the exhibitor within the past year.

  • Only one entry per class is permitted.

  • Entry fees are non-refundable.

  • Youth exhibitors must choose either the Youth or Open section where the same class exists.

Entry Submission

  • Paper entry forms with payment may be dropped off at the Creston Visitor Centre.

  • Online entry and payment may be completed at CrestonValleyFallFair.ca.

  • General Entry Deadline: Friday, September 4 at 4:00 PM.

  • Livestock Entry Deadline: Friday, August 28 at 4:00 PM to ensure adequate enclosures.

Entry Fees

  • First Entry: $2.00

  • Additional Entries: $0.50 each

  • Scarecrow and Pumpkin Contests: $5.00

  • Livestock Show Competitions: $5.00

  • Livestock Costume Contest: $2.00

Exhibit Drop-Off Times

  • All exhibits must be delivered to the Fairgrounds on Thursday, September 10 from 6:00 PM–8:00 PM.

  • Exhibitors must vacate the premises immediately after drop-off.

  • Late exhibits will not be accepted.

Livestock Move-In

  • Small Livestock: Thursday, September 10 from 6:00 PM–8:00 PM.

  • Large Livestock: Friday, September 11 from 6:00 AM–9:00 AM.

  • Any animal not at the Fairgrounds by the deadline will be disqualified.

Judging and Awards

  • In the absence of competition in any class, judges may award placements as deemed worthy.

  • A single entry in a class does not automatically receive a ribbon.

Points System

  • 1st Place: 5 points

  • 2nd Place: 3 points

  • 3rd Place: 2 points

Points are used to determine Aggregate Winners in all applicable categories, as noted on the Trophies and Certificates page of the booklet.

Trophies and certificates will be awarded as listed in each section of the booklet.

Prize money is awarded in conjunction with points.

Prize Pick-Up

  • Prize money and exhibits must be picked up on Sunday from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM.

  • Unclaimed prize money will be donated to the Creston Valley Fall Fair Association.

Protests

  • All protests must be submitted in writing to the appropriate Section Convenor by Friday, September 11 at 7:00 PM.

  • Contact information for Section Convenors is listed in each section of the booklet.

  • The judge’s decision is final.

Grand Parade of Champions Award Presentation

  • Saturday, September 12 at 6:00 PM.

Exhibit Pick-Up Times

Livestock Move-Out

  • Large Livestock: Sunday, September 13 from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM.

  • Small Livestock: Sunday, September 13 from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM.

Exhibits and Prize Money

  • All exhibits and prize money must be picked up Sunday, September 13 from 8:00 AM–10:00 AM.

Liability

The Creston Valley Fall Fair Association is not responsible for any loss, damage, or accident in connection with exhibits or property. The Association is also not responsible for items left after Sunday at 10:00 AM.

How to Enter

  1. Browse the Sections in the Fall Fair booklet (paper copies or online) and determine your entries. 

  2. Get the Entry Form (stapled in the middle of the physical booklet, or downloadable here). Complete your exhibitor contact information on the top of the form. Please print clearly!

  3. List your entries. Please indicate Section (e.g. A Fruit, B Vegetables, C Home Preserving), Division and Classes of each entry. If you are entering more than 10, please use an additional entry form (staple the pages together).

  4. Calculate your entry fees. $2.00 for first entry and .50 for each additional entry. Please enter the total amount owing in the grayed-in box titled “Total Submitted.” 

  5. If you are mailing your entry, please enclose the entry form and cheque or money order addressed to Creston Valley Fall Fair Association, PO Box 95, Creston BC V0B 1G0.  Please mail on or before Monday, August 24, 2026. 

  6. If you are dropping off your entry form in person, please put the form and cash, cheque or money order in a sealed envelope, and drop off the the Creston Valley Visitor Centre by Friday, August 28, 2026.
