Rules and Regulations
Please read all rules carefully


General

  • Exhibits MUST be grown or made by the exhibitor within the past year.

  • Only one entry per class per exhibitor, and no refund of entry fees will be made.

  • YOUTH must choose between youth or open sections where the same

  • class exists.


Entry Submission

  • Paper Entry Forms may be dropped off with payment at the Creston

  • Visitor Centre.

  • Online Entry and payment may be made at CrestonValleyFallFair.ca

  • Entry Deadline is Friday, September 4, 4pm.

  • LIVESTOCK Entry Deadline is Friday, August 28, 4pm, to ensure adequate enclosures.


Entry Fees

  • Your First Entry - $2.00

  • All Subsequent Entries - $0.50 each

  • Scarecrow and Pumpkin Contests - $5.00

  • Livestock Show Competitions - $5.00

  • Livestock Costume Contest - $2.00


Exhibit Drop Off Times

  • EXHIBITS MUST be brought to the Fairgrounds on Thursday, September 10, 6pm-8pm.

  • Exhibitors must vacate the premises IMMEDIATELY after drop off.

  • Late exhibits will not be accepted.

  • SMALL LIVESTOCK must be moved Thursday, September 10, 6pm-8pm.

  • LARGE LIVESTOCK must be moved Friday, September 11, 6am-9am.

  • Any animal not at the Fairgrounds by the deadline will be disqualified.

Judging and Awards

  • In the absence of competition in any one class, judges will award placements as deemed worthy. A single entry in any one class will not necessarily receive a ribbon.

  • Points are awarded as follows:

    • 1st Place - 5 points

    • 2nd Place - 3 points

    • 3rd Place - 2 points

  • Points will be used to determine Aggregate winners in all categories as noted on the Trophies and Certificates page of the booklet. Trophies and certificates to be awarded as listed in each section in the booklet.

  • Prize money is awarded in conjunction with points. Prize money and exhibits must be picked up on Sunday, 8am-10am. Unclaimed prize money will be donated to the Creston Valley Fall Fair Association.

  • All protests must be made in writing and handed to the specific Section Convenor (contact information is noted in each section) by Friday, September 11, 7pm. The judge’s decision will be final.

  • GRAND PARADE OF CHAMPIONS AWARD PRESENTATION: Saturday, September 12, 6pm.

Exhibit Pick Up Times

  • LARGE LIVESTOCK must be moved Sunday, September 13, 8am-10am.

  • SMALL LIVESTOCK must be moved Sunday, September 13, 8am-10am.

  • EXHIBITS and Prize Money must be picked up Sunday, September 13, 8am-10am.

Liability
The Creston Valley Fall Fair Association will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or accident whatsoever in connection with exhibits or property, and will not be responsible for any items left after Sunday, 10am.
